UAW-General Motors

The UAW-GM Center for Human Resources was established as a nonprofit corporation in 1984 by the UAW (International Union, United Auto Workers) and GM (General Motors) to develop and administer joint education, training, and retraining activities for approximately 130,000 UAW-represented GM employees.

Together, the International Union, United Auto Workers, and General Motors Corporation are committed to the largest sponsorship in the history of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. In support of this program, GM employees and GM dealers in communities throughout the United States have personally committed to volunteerism, fund raising, and wish grantingЎ, truly "making smiles standard equipment" for Make-A-Wish children.

In support of Make A Difference Day and the ongoing sponsorship of the Make-A-Wish Foundation by the UAW-GM Center for Human Resources (UAW-GM CHR) and GM, Saab Hawaii is pledging donations to help grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions in Hawaii.
